I received an email asking me to explain how a website is connected?

“Why do you need a domain name and web hosting?”

I’ve being playing around with websites for DONKEYS YEARS now, and don’t think ANYONE has asked me this.

So I asked about and many people wanted to KNOW THIS to.

Here’s the answer I gave to the first person who asked me.

The ‘Domain Name’ is like an ‘Address’ and the ‘Web Hosting’ is like a ‘House’.

The ‘Address’ says where to find the ‘House’, and the ‘House’ holds the content of your home.

The ‘Domain Name’ says where to find the ‘Web Hosting’, and the ‘Web Hosting’ holds the content of your website.
